VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

A Film, Booklet & Exhibition on IWA (Southall)

VOLUNTEEERS NEEDED:
Be part of an exciting project to preserve our history for future generations

Are  you interested in being involved in a unique project which will record the history of IWA,  the contributions of the early immigrants who settled in Southall in the 1950s and 1960s, who laid the foundation of the IWA, campaigned  against discrimination & equal rights and established Southall as an icon of the Asian community  nationally.

We are looking for volunteers to help us with

·         Finding and making contact with  key people who settled in Southall in the 1950s and 1960s
·         Getting  information  & community research work e.g. old photos, newspaper articles of key events in IWA/Southall
·         recording interviews with key people on tape and video film
·         translating and interpreting work ( Panjabi) 
·         researching information  via library, websites etc
·         running and maintaining our website and blog
·         making a film, creating an exhibition or booklet



Anyone  aged 16 and over can volunteer
